Combat

Combat is a gameplay feature of Genfanad allowing players to kill various enemies and other players. During combat, the player will fight until they either die or flee. Food cannot be consumed during combat. Fleeing can only occur after 3 rounds of combat, initiated by clicking away from the fight. After fleeing, the enemy will continue to pursue the player for a short distance. After combat, the player cannot log-out for 30 seconds.

Combat involves the following skills:

  • Attack, which allows the player to hit more accurately.
  • Strength, which allows the player to hit higher melee damage.
  • Defense, which allows the player to ???.
  • Vitality, which determines the amount of damage a player can take before dying.
  • Ranged, which allows the player to employ ranged combat.
  • Sorcery, which allows the player to employ magic combat.

Combat Styles[edit | edit source]

There are four different melee combat styles, that award the player differing experience based on what's used:

  • Controlled - increases all melee skills by +1 and assigns combat experience evenly among them.
  • Accurate - increases Attack by +3 and assigns all combat experience to Attack.
  • Aggressive - increases Strength by +3 and assigns all combat experience to Strength.
  • Defensive - increases Defense by +3 and assigns all combat experience to Defense.

As well as two ranged combat styles:

  • Offensive - increases Ranged by +3 and assigns all combat experience to Ranged.
  • Defensive - increases Ranged by +2 and Defense by +1, and assigns combat experience at a rate 2/1 between Ranged and Defense.
